      What is a CDPAP, and who can qualify?

      CDPAP, or the “Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program,” is a New York statewide Medicaid-sponsored program. Under this program, the consumers can hire their family members or friends as their personal assistants who will get PAID to provide care.

      This win-win program recognizes the crucial role caregivers play and empowers individuals to shape their own care experience. CDPAP consumers can recruit as many assistants as they need (but at least two) to accommodate their lifestyle, individual needs, and authorized hours.

      CDPAP: Frequently Asked Questions

      Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP)  is a state-wide Medicaid program for eligible individuals. In this program, you or a family member can recruit, hire, and direct your desired home care provider.

      CDPAP program is for everybody. You can take care of your family members, relatives, best friends, and neighbors and get paid. This is the legal program for all patients and caregivers.

      We provide the CDPAP program in five (5) Boroughs of New York: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island.

      Our pay rate is from $ 18.00 up to $25.50 per/hour.

      To receive this service, you should be:
      1. A Medicaid-covered member.
      2. A patient requiring home care.
      3. A self-directed person, or an individual with a representative who can direct your care.
